What does it say?

Looking through one of my all time favorite books, Joel Sternfeld’s American Prospects at the weekend, I re-read what has to be the finest written piece about a photographer by Anne W. Tucker. In truth, I find the writing more inspiring than the actual photographs, despite Sternfeld’s influence, because it writes about a photography and a photographer in a way that makes you want to be a photographer.
